real writing is – emails, text messages, comments on instagram or facebook, snapchats, and even searching for things on the internet. I never thought of these things as reading or writing but they actually are. They are just very causal ways that we do them. Normally when I think of writing, I think about an essay, but that not the case, reading and writing is a really big part of our every day lives.
Module 12 blog post
Research is based on other peoples knowledge. When we need to learn something we go to other peoples written knowledge about the subject and read it and get what we need from it. The other people study the subject they are writing about so the rest of us have correct and reliable information about it.
Week 7 Blog Post
Theory of prior knowledge-It is about a persons prior knowledge and what it is and where they learned it. It also talks about how they will further their knowledge and how that will compare to their prior knowledge. The main point is how will their prior knowledge and the stuff they leaning work together to further their knowledge as a whole.
Week 5 blog post
I think that Malcolm X was an activist for young African Americans like himself. He showed that where he came from was definitely hard he didn’t have a lot but he built himself up. He was fighting for people who where like him, and he wanted to make a difference. He wanted to show that you can do anything you put your mind to, even if you don’t have as many resources as people who are more privileged do.
MA4

Since starting college my writing is completely different. I used to never draft or plan out what I was going to write, I would just go for it. I’ve learned to set out a list of everything I need to mention in my writing, and then I start to draft. Then I have a peer look over my paper and take all of their comments into consideration.

After reading the introduction for MA4 and figuring out what is expected for this project, I looked through the list of genres and tried to figure out which would fit with my project the best. When looking at the list, I figured out that I think that a brochure is definitely one that I want to do. I was also thinking that I could make the brochure on like the teamwork at chipotle, and my audience could be people who are considering working at chipotle. The second one I was thinking was the advertising campaign, and I could keep the same audience and make the advertising about how friendly and hard working the people at chipotle usually are.
Rodgers Discussion Group Work
Rodger talks a lot about revision, in high school he wrote about a lot of things that he did not really care about. His meaning of revision in high school did not mean much to him till he started caring about things he liked to write about. He wanted the freedom of writing.
He also brings up a lot of his earlier writing process. It changes because when he was younger he knew how to write but what the teacher wanted was something he didn’t do. She wanted straight facts about what they were writing about. The way he wrote it was different to what she wanted, he had his own style. He got a C on his paper he ended up saying C stands for creative because he added extra information to his writing, not just what his teacher wanted. It changes when he is in college because when…

Overall I thought that our research project went really well. I was really nervous about it during the peer review day, but after looking at everyone else’s i realized that our wasn’t too bad after all. Our group got off track at times, but we always ended up getting it all together. It was really hard that we were all doing separate paragraphs, because it didn’t flow as well as it would have if just one person did it.

Working on this group project has definitely taught me a lot. During this process my group and I have went to chipotle many times, and we have learned many things each time. We were lucky enough to talk to a former employee about her experiences about the job and how the culture is. She gave us a lot of insight on that kind of job and how hard it actually is. We leaned a lot from this research project by going to places and observing and talking to people. We also learned a lot in class, by researching and sharing information with each other.
